When life gets busy, we sometimes don’t have the time to give our furry friend/s the exercise they need. Most dogs require regular walks; for stimulation and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. After all, a tired dog is a good dog.
With Marisa’s Dog Walking & Minding you can rest assured that your dog is getting the exercise it needs so you can come home and enjoy your time off together, walk them again or snuggle up on the couch.

How it works
MEET AND GREET
We like to meet you and your dog before our first walk or mind so that we can discuss walking & minding arrangements and for the opportunity to make you and your dog feel at ease with the new human in your lives.
We’ll also ask you to provide a summary of your dog’s behaviour in certain situations (see dog info form under “Forms”)
This will help to make sure we never set your dog up for failure and it is an enjoyable experience for your dog and for us.
THE WALK
We’ll come to your house to pick up your dog/s and drop them home after our walk, so be sure to let us know where we can find the collar/harness, lead and anything else they require. For company and sometimes help with socialising your dog, our resident dog Rusty, can join on the adventure.
THE MIND OR DAY CARE
Marisa will arrange a suitable time with you to bring your dog to her home. You & your dog can get familiar with the new environment & with Rusty so when it comes time to minding your pooch, you will both feel at ease with your doggies temporary home.
RESPECTFUL DOG TRAINING PRACTICES
For unwanted dog behaviours at home and on walks, such as pulling on lead, not coming on recall or excessive barking, there are gentle and respectful dog psychology practices we can help you to implement so that your furry friends can relax more and allow you to become the leader.
We will supply dog bags and treats.
Can’t make the walk, but don’t want to miss out?
If you suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out) and want to know what your dog is up to, we can share photos and videos with you during and after our walks. These are also posted on our social media pages. Either way, we’ll send you an update text after the walk.
