Hello, I am Marisa. I am the owner and primary dog walker & minder for Marisa’s Dog Walking & Minding. With a solid career in bookkeeping and a dedicated full time mum, I understand that life can get busy – really busy. That’s why I created Marisa’s Dog Walking & Minding; to make sure when our lives get too busy we don’t jeopardise the health and well-being of our furry friends.
However, much of my inspiration can be attributed to my best pal, Rusty. After going through what was one of the toughest times in my life, my family and I decided to get a dog. Wanting to rescue one of the many dogs at Monica’s Doggie Rescue, we met Rusty. At the time, I didn’t quite know how much impact he would have on me, my well-being or my state of mind. My family and of course, Rusty, helped give me daily purpose to get out of bed every morning but also made me laugh and bought a whole lot of joy back into my life. Though, of course I should have known it was possible. After all, dogs are awesome.

Hi, my name is Rusty. I am a Kelpie X and there is nothing I love more than going for walks, wading in the water, chasing balls & sticks at the dog park or hanging out and being silly with my humans.
I didn’t have the greatest start to life, but that all changed quickly when I was adopted into the Sutton family – and it just got better from there. It’s a real treat when my canine friends come on our walks & have sleep overs at our home. Though, if they’re not quite ready for me to join them, that’s OK too, as I am very patient & happy to wait till they are ready.
